Traveler is a 1981 Passport 42, built in Taipei Taiwan in the famous Ta Shin boatyard. Scott Voltz and his wife Connie bought the boat in California and sailed her to Mexico where they cruised and lived aboard for five years before bringing her to Olympia via Hawaii and Alaska in the summer of 2016.
She is a cutter rigged sloop, with a roller furling head sail, hank-on stay sail, and a fully battened main. Traveler is a heavy displacement, large keel boat, making it very comfortable, even in heavy weather. This boat is quite roomy. When the wind isn't blowing, it is powered by a new 35 hp. diesel engine.
Dine below in the spacious teak and mahogany cabin, or in the cockpit.
The front deck is comfortable to lounge and relax on during the excursion or you can sit in the aft cockpit with the captain.
Sleeping accommodations for overnight stays include a comfortable aft cabin with a double bed and a double vee berth bed in the forward cabin. Both sleeping cabins are private with doors, a dressing area, and plenty of storage space.
Our vessel Traveler features a spacious galley; oven, stove, fridge, freezer and double sink, with ample counter space.
She also has a barbecue, great for cooking fish, meat and oysters.
